November 25, 2022 – Calgary, Alberta
Dale Clifton Armstrong, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022, at the age of 85, in the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, AB.
Dale worked at many jobs throughout his life. He retired in 1993 after several years with NOVA Gas Transmission, as Foreman of the Southern Area Operations Compressor Maintenance Department. He was always a cowboy at heart, having spent his youth working with and riding horses. Dale and Nola’s retirement years were often spent travelling in their motorhome with friends and family to various destinations near and far. Dale had a legendary sense of humour and a quick wit right to the end.
He leaves behind his daughters, Lori, and Kathy Armstrong; his grandchildren, Jessica (Cochise, and their baby Jackson), Rachel (Chris, and their children), Lilah, Walker, and Roxy (Cody); and his namesake and only grandson Dale. He was predeceased by his true love and wife of 63 years, Nola Jean Armstrong (nee Vikse).
There will be a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2023. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Rosedale Hospice, #1245 – 70 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2H 2X8, Telephone: (403) 284 – 5195.
