Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of Dale Olson announces his passing on May 9/2022 at the age of 86 years at Rose Villa nursing home in Rosetown. Dale will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years Katherine Christina Olson, his children and their spouses, Carla (Darrell) Bourgette, Darcy (Theresa) Olson and Nadine Olson. His grandchildren Brodie (Nicole) Bourgette, Nicole (Matt) Dunlap, Conrad (Jordyn) Olson, Preston Olson. His great grandchildren Hailie and Layne Bourgette, Olivia and Ewan Dunlap, Hudson and Sophie Olson. His niece Richele (Brian) Moore and nephew Brett Olson. Brother in law John Seymour and also the Rousell family. Dale was predeceased by his parents Conrad and Lillian Olson, brothers Ivan (Linda) Olson, Wendyll Olson and sister in law Lois (Hilton) Rousell and niece Colleen Peters. The funeral service will be held on Monday May 16/2022 at 2:00 p.m. Rosetown United Church. If desired donations may be made to Rosetown United Church or charity of your choice. Dale loved farming and was a farmer for may years before retiring to Rosetown. He was also very talented with music, playing by ear. Dale played in band called the Rythmairs and later after his farming accident became a popular square dance caller, calling dances all over the province. Dale loved spending time with family and friends visiting and enjoying each others company. He took great pleasure in playing crib with everyone and particularly his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Rose Villa for their compassionate and caring understanding ways.
