James ‘Craig’ McLaren, age 70, passed away peacefully at home January 18, 2022. He was born March 14, 1951 in Toronto, Ontario to James and Dorothy. He married his love and friend, Elaine Mapletoft on March 27, 1993.
Craig loved people and had a large circle of friends. He loved travel and had a well worn passport from trips to India, the Caribbean and the U.K.
Craig was an astute businessman and for over 40 years Craig owned and operated a company started by his father, JM McLaren and Sons Ink. In 2004, he made his lifelong dream with his wife by purchasing a farm in Caledon, Ontario.
Craig is survived by his wife Elaine, daughter Sonya, grandchildren Shea and Camryn, his brother and wife Scott and Tammy, his sister and husband Lynn and Jerry, nieces Melissa, Sarah and Jessica, great nieces Adalynn, Ava and Jordyn. All of these he loved and touched deeply.
Please join us to celebrate his life at the Dods & McNair Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre 21 First St Orangeville on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022 at 2:30 pm. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or Alzheimer Society of Canada.
A tree will be planted in memory of Craig in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area, Orangeville.
