Corry was born in Delft, Netherlands on January 29th, 1930. She passed away on Wednesday, September 13th, 2022, at Etobicoke, Ontario at the age of 92.
She is survived by her loving children John A. Salter of Toronto and Kim Salter of Sydney, Australia. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren Colton and Darby, cousins Willy and Tiny van de Weyden, nephew Walter Jr. de Haan and family in Holland and her nieces and nephews in Québec. Aside from being a mother of 4 beautiful children and wife to the late Jim Roberts, she came to Canada as a war bride from the Dutch Navy. Entrepreneurial and hard working Corry will be remembered for her generosity and kindness of heart by the many people and animals that she came to know. She loved to lift you up, tell stories and always had a joke or a Dutch song handy.
“Walk softly in the warm woods, swim in the cool sea, dream on a sunny bench and think of me.”
