CONRAD – JOHN “JACK” EDWARD, age 74, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 30, 2022 at home.
Born in Port Medway, Queens County, Jack was the son of the late Hector and Helen (Whynot) Conrad.
He was employed for many years at the Bowater Mersey Paper Company. Jack
loved to hunt and fish, enjoying the solitude of the woods. He was a life long “Jack” of all trades, always fixing things and creating others. Jack loved to work around the house on remodeling projects and landscaping. He was always available to give a helping hand to anyone he found in need. He was especially fond of animals and cherished the many cats and dogs he had as companions throughout the years. Jack loved his family deeply and devoted his life to caring for them. He is loved and will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lynn; daughter, Lorrie (Dana) Swinimer of Dartmouth; grandson, Tyler (Kelsey Brown) of Dartmouth; he will also be missed by his beloved cat, Tilly.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sisters, Nancy Zwicker and Rosalie Nichols.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, N.S. At Jack’s request, there will be no funeral service at this time.
