It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the death of Connie Lorraine Caldwell, of Martock, at the age of 60, on Monday, November 14, 2022 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, with her loving family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Dorothy and the late Harris “Bob” Burgess, both of Falmouth.
Connie was a talented seamstress, who never thought any project was impossible. In the last few years, she found joy in making doll clothes and doing craft shows. Connie enjoyed sewing for Kings Edgehill on the Cadet Unit and keeping Keith on his toes.
Connie’s whole world revolved around her children and grandchildren, it was not uncommon for her to spend hours facetiming, storytelling, and giving life advice on their mother’s parenting skills.
In addition to her mother, Connie is survived by her partner, Percy Edwards of Martock; daughters, Miranda (Stephen) Hume of Canning; Jessica (Brian) Barker of Brooklyn; grandchildren, Mia, Serena, Kennedi, Mason, and Karleigh (who were her greatest pride and joy); sisters, Carol (John) of Falmouth; Cathy (Colin) of Brooklyn; Susan (Steve) of Oxford; brothers, Buddy of Windsor; Alvin (Cathy) of Coldbrook; David of Windsor; and Russell (Jill) of St. Croix.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1:30 pm in the Falmouth Center Cemetery with Rev. Marshall Caldwell officiating. Memorial donations, in Connie’s memory, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Victorian Order of Nurses (VON) . Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
