Passed away quietly in her sleep, in the wee hours of the morning, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in her 100th year. Donalda Columbus (nee Clute) beloved wife of the late James Columbus, much loved mother of Mary Jean, Stan and his wife Charlene, Johanna and her husband Peter Whitfield and Ann and her husband Mark Archer. Treasured grandmother to Kelly, Jennifer, Gary, Curtis, Craig, Janessa, Julia, Hannah and Maitlin and very proud great grandmother to Paige, Drew, Ava, Kyla, Chloe, Sophia, Emmitt and Alice. Aunt Donalda will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews as well as the extended Columbus family. Predeceased by her parents Ethel and Wallace Clute and her siblings, Stanley and Olive. She will be remembered for her committed community involvement with many organizations including the Maple Syrup Festival and Fall Fair, Board of Trades, the local Food Bank and the School Board. She operated the gas station at the four corners for many years after Jimmy’s passing. She was a dedicated member of the CWL for over 60 years. Donalda enjoyed knitting, curling, playing Bridge, Bid Euchre, enjoyed singing (especially in the Choral Society) and made the best tea biscuits ever!

A visitation will be held at Lynn-Stone Funeral Home, Elmvale, on Sunday, April 24 from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 am on Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Elmvale.
Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Phelpston will be held at a later date.
