Obituary of Colombe Raymond
It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother,
Colombe Larivée Raymond,
at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
Loving mother of Robert (Claudette), Allan (Kathy), Garry (Dorothy), Lorne (Judy), Lewellyn (Helen), Ellen (late Larry), Bettty (Ted), Michel (Lesley), Suzanne (late Ray), George (Sherry), Donnie (Kim) and Sharron (Mark). Cherished grandmother of 25 grand children, 22 great-grand children and 5 great-great-grand children. Dear sister of Yolande Desjardins (late Richard) and Yves (Agathe) Larivée, sister-in-law of Patricia (late Leonard) Raymond.
Colombe is predeceased by her husband, Donald (Dan) Charles, her infant son Ewen, her parents Gabrielle Gervais and René Larivée, her brothers Luc and Emile, her young sisters Gisèle and Yolande, and her grandson Jason.
Mother was an avid reader and with 13 children, you can understand why; she also enjoyed knitting and loved travelling, which she was fortunate to have done.
Ma, Mother, Grandma, Grandmère, Memere, whichever title was bestowed upon her, she always enjoyed visits from each and everyone and when someone asked her out on outing, she was always ready and willing.
The family wishes to extend gratitute to the staff at The Palace Nursing Home.
To honour Colombe’s wishes, a private visitation for family members only will take place on Thursday, April 7th from 7 p.m to 9 p.m. at Glengarry Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Catherine of Sienna Church (Greenfield, ON), on Friday, April 8th at 11 a.m. Internment will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
