Colleen Burke Leadbeater 2022

The family of the late Colleen (Burke) Leadbeater regrets to announce her passing on April 18, 2022, with her soulmate and husband, Ron by her side.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Theresa Burke.
Colleen was a woman of great faith and would turn to her faith when faced with adversity. She found strength and comfort through her love and passion for music, which she and her husband both shared. She also recorded two albums sharing her joy and talent with the world.
Colleen worked for the Sydney Solicitors office. She then took a position as administrative assistant with the Cape Breton Regional Police Services since amalgamation.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Ron Leadbeater; son, Eric Burke; siblings, Frances (Joe) Powers, Ginny (Brian) Anderson, Lucina (the late Leonard) Thibodeau, Virginia (the late Wayne) Hoskin and Ed (Joan) Burke, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her best little furry buddy, Bambi.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Marion Burke.
We extend a deeply heartfelt thank you to Dr. Paul Murphy, family physician and friend, and to all others who helped Colleen transition from this life to the next. With that in mind, donations in Colleen‘s memory may be made to the An Cala/Palliative Care Unit at the CBRH.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
