HARVIE, Clyde Delbert – at Hospice Quinte, Belleville, on Monday, October 10, 2022 aged 86 years. Clyde Harvie of Brighton, son of the late Clyde Delaine Harvie and the late Ina Harvie (nee Chapman). Loving husband of 62 years to Sandra Clare Harvie (nee Magarrell). Dear father of Leanne St-Jean (Andre) of Bath, Janelle Harvie (Ivan Kwan) of Brampton, and Michael Harvie (Linda) of Trenton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Monique St-Jean (Jan-Paul Tibensky) of Oshawa and their children Isaac and Johanna Tibensky, Raymond St-Jean (Courtney) of Hammond, Melissa Harvie of Kanata, Julia Harvie of Trenton, Sheldon Bereznick of Vaughan, Aaron Bereznick of Vaughan. Also survived by his remaining siblings, brother Jim Harvie (Jan), sister Faye Beazley and sister-in-law Margaret Harvie of Nova Scotia and missed by Sandra’s siblings and their spouses, Gary Magarrell, Barry Brown, Marla Magarrell, Terri McGovern, Kent and Barb Magarrell along with numerous nieces and nephews. Clyde was born in Mosherville, NS on January, 17 1936, the third of nine children. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He was an accomplished curler and a master wildlife carver. Clyde served 34 years with the RCAF starting out as an Air Defense Technician and Commissioning to Air Weapons Controller. He was a dedicated family man and devoted friend to many. Many thanks to the palliative home care team and to the staff at Hospice Quinte, Belleville, who made Clyde comfortable in his last days. A Celebration of Clyde’s Life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Brighton Funeral Home, 130 Main Street, Brighton on Friday, October 28, 2022. There will be a Remembrance Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. followed by a drop-in reception until 4:00 pm. Interment will be held at Beechwood Cemetary in Ottawa at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
