Clyde Creelman

Clyde Creelman, 84 years old, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, passed away on June 7th, 2022 in the Halifax Infirmary after a brief illness. Clyde was born in Halifax, NS, on May 27, 1938. His early years were spent in municipal care for children with disabilities and later in municipal and provincial care for adults with disabilities. Clyde’s real life in the community started in earnest when he was in his early 40’s. Clyde will be greatly missed by Pat and Jacques Goulet, their children, and grandchildren. Clyde was truly blessed the day the Goulet’s came into his life. They brought the love and guidance that Clyde was missing, and they were Clyde’s true family. Clyde will also be missed by his other ‘family’: his roommate Shawn, all the SSG members, his SSG support staff (past and present) and the entire SSG management team. Clyde started working at Prescott Group in February of 1976 and he remained there until his retirement 38 years later, on his 76th birthday in 2014. He loved going to work and being with his Prescott Family. He was also well known in the L’Arche community and he often joined their meetings. Clyde’s passing will be felt by the many lives he touched with his enthusiasm for life, his joy for living, his quirky sense of humor and his huge smile. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Son Life Community Church (152 Windmill Road, Dartmouth, NS) on Monday, June 20th from 2:00-4:00pm.
