It is with sadness that we share the peaceful passing of our cherished husband, father, step-father, and brother on March 3rd, 2022. Left to mourn his loss are his wife of 31 years, Catherine; his daughter Jessie, and his step-children Sarah McFadden Hext (Paul) and Alan McFadden (Katarina). Dear adopted son of Johnny Luoma and Alice Luoma Sweet (Howard), all predeceased, and also predeceased by his birth parents Friedi and Isabel Hongell. Clifford is mourned by his sisters Ruth, Rachel (Rob, predeceased), Sheila (Bill), his brother Gerry (Debbie) and predeceased by Albert and Jimmy (Eleanor). Survived by many nieces and nephews and their children, and Rikki (Mike), Zak, Shawn, Kayden, Alexis, and Landon.
Clifford chose this photo and made us promise to use it, because he was as surprised as anyone that he wouldn’t live forever.
The family would like to thank Clifford’s entire health team for their exceptional care, compassion, and encouragement, especially Dr. Katie Richardson, NP Nathalie Chisholm, Drs. Falk and Jani as well as the nurses and support personnel from the Cancer Centre, Bayshore, HomeCare, and the LHIN. Not to be forgotten are the pharmacists and staff from SDM (Long Lake Rd.) and Pharmasave Healthcare (Lasalle Blvd.) for always going that extra mile. Thank you also to Gerry & Geoff Lougheed and staff, especially Katie, Jeff, and Marie for their endless support and assistance.
At Clifford’s request there will be no visitation. Cremation has already taken place. A private graveside service will be held in the summer with interment in the family plot.
