Obituary of Clemence Delorme
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother Clemence Delorme, 88 years of age, formerly from La Chalet in La Broquerie. Mom passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Ste. Anne Hospital, Ste Anne, Manitoba.
She is survived by one daughter, Doreen (Randy) Lamontagn; three sons: Phil (Kimberly) Delorme, Brian Delorme, Roland (Lora) Delorme; one daughter-in-law Carol; two sisters: Irene (John) Unrea, Germaine Lepine; two brothers: Wilfred (Debbie) Chabot, Rene (Estelle) Chabot; two sisters-in-law: Deloris Chabot, Jeanne Chabot; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Mom was predeceased by first husband Joseph, second husband John, son Harvey, grandson Rick.
Mom was born to Aurilla and Edward Chabot May 4, 1933. She grew up in Marchand, she later married our father in 1950, where they raised five children. Mom was very hard working. Dad was away a lot working construction up North while mom was a home worker. Up early doing chores on the hobby farm, working in her large garden and making sure we always had food on the table. Mom also read her Bible Daily. Mom was also a very talented sewer, there was nothing she couldn’t sew from frilly dresses, to three piece suits.
Mom was very family oriented. Her greatest joy was her family. Always greeting them with her heartfelt hugs, they will be missed. Mom met and married John. They were together 25 years. They resided in Steinbach. Mom was a huge part of our lives; she will be missed. Till we meet again sweet Angel. You will be forever in our hearts.
Big thank you to the Doctors and Nurses from the Ste. Anne Hospital for the care given to our mother. Also, to the Homecare ladies from the Chalet in La Broquerie, cremation has already taken place.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with burial to follow at Marchand Cemetery. A reception will take place at the Marchand Gospel Chapel following the burial.
