It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Clemence Osterhold, on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the age of 83 years. Mom was born in Rimouski, Quebec on November 14, 1938. Mom and Dad met in Elliot Lake, Ontario and were married on March 30, 1959. They moved to Luseland where they farmed with Dad’s brother, Bob, and his wife, Bonnie, until their retirement took them west where they eventually settled in Balfour, BC.
Mom and Dad made many wonderful friends during their 26 years living in Balfour. The gang enjoyed many golf games and the “occasional” rum together. Hughie and Bob would always bring Mom her favourite Kootenay beer when stopping by. Knowing Mom, I’m sure she shared!
Mom was one of the most selfless people anyone could meet. She never wanted for anything and was always so appreciative of the little things. Mom had the most infectious laugh. There was no one better to watch an Adam Sandler movie with than Mom.
Mom leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, Veryl Osterhold; two children, Darien (Doris) and Cheryl (Murray) Hardcastle; six grandchildren, Karley, Cameron, Jordan (Megan), Kaitlin (Jeremy), Bri, and Jessica (Brock); two sisters, Micheline and Nicole; brother-in-law Wayne (Sheila), and numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by one daughter, Neaa Osterhold; her parents, Marie Ann and Delphis Bèrubè; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Clemence will be interred in the Balfour Cemetery in B.C. at a later date. To e-mail an expression of sympathy, please direct it to: office@pattisonfuneralhome.com subject heading: Clemence Osterhold.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Clemence Osterhold November 14 1938 July 01 2022 Age 83..
