Obituary of Claude Alfred Moser
Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the age of 96 years.
Survived by his children, Brian (Mary) Moser, Thomas (Nathaly) Moser, Sharon (Peter) Armstrong, Kelly (Ken) Gilbert, Claude will be greatly missed. Claude was the proud grandfather of Tess, Sam, Tyler, Kim, Greg, Sacha, Louba, Hannah, Sophie and Abbey, and great-grandfather to Brooks, Brady, and Bruce.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Florence, the pair were happily married for 60 years until her passing in 2008. Claude and Florence built a successful haulage business, Claude Moser Haulage. He was well known in the area and responsible for the topsoil in many local neighbourhoods. After his retirement, Claude stayed very active taking up woodworking and tending to his large vegetable garden.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at The Village of Winston Park Retirement Home for taking such great care of Claude for the past 2 years.
Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark’s RC Church, 55 Driftwood Drive, Kitchener on Friday, Sept. 9 at 10:00 am. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
