MURPHY, Claude – Passed away on Sunday August 21, 2022 at the Welland Hospital at 81 years of age. He is now reunited with his beloved wife Geraldine (Jerry) Larabie (1997). Loving father of Sherri Larabie. Dear brother of Ronald (the late Sue), Edward (the late Twyla), Danial (Shirley), Barbara (the late Lewis) Noxel, Marion (the late Raymond) Plante and Marie (the late Yvon) Gosselin. Claude will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence Murphy and Hazel (Amell) Murphy, his brothers Francis (Eva), Earl, Pat and sister Penny Jean.
Claude was born on October 6, 1940 in Farran’s Point, Ontario. He was employed as a truck driver with Vartrt Construction. He served 3 years in the army. He will be remembered as a kind hearted, loving, shy and gentle man.
The family will receive their friends at the H. L. Cudney Funeral Home, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Friday, August 26th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A service will be celebrated in the chapel on Saturday, August 27th at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations, in Claude’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
