It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Claude (Chuck) Gervais on 10 October 2022 at 88 years old in Greenwood. He was surrounded by family as he peacefully slipped away at home, and we are heartbroken to lose him.
Claude, born on 14 November 1933 in Greenfield Park, Quebec, was predeceased by his parents Charles Gervais and Marie-Paule Blanchard and his sisters Ghislaine, Liliane, and Lise. He is survived by his wife of 68 years Carole (Nelson), his children Gerald (Krista), Johanne (Michael), Charles (Pauline), his four grandchildren Kyle, Melissa, Jeremy, Stephanie and five great grandchildren Violet, Willow, Logan, Ethan, and Rachel.
Claude joined the Royal Canadian Airforce when he was 17 years old and married the love of his life four years later. He was stationed in Lowther, ON; North Bay, ON; Grostenquin, France; St. Hubert, QC, Beausejour, MB; Bagotville, QC, and finally Greenwood, NS, where he retired. He enjoyed playing sports such as bowling, curling, and golfing and he loved to fish wherever he lived.

  1. We were very sad to hear that Chuck passed away.
    We will always remember Chuck from better times, playing golf with him, losing at cards to him and Carol! That is the Chuck we will remember.
