September 24,1923 – March 30,2022
Clarence was born at his grandmother’s log house in Chichester, Quebec. He grew up in a fishing and hunting camp filled with adventures. He left home to join the war at 18. When he returned, he settled in Sudbury and worked for Falconbridge Nickel Mines. He met Catherine Phelan in Chapeau and came back to Sudbury where they raised their family.
He and Catherine had seven children. Brian (Wendy), Nancy (Murray), Wayne (Mona), Janice (Mark), Maureen (Brian), Neil (Lorna), and Glen (Sherry). He had the gift of 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Clarence was one of 10 children. Ellis, Theresa, Ellard, Margaret Rose, Chrisita, Tersita, Crystal, Pauline, and Eldon.
He was a quiet and unassuming man whose life revolved around his family. His family is grateful for his long presence in their lives. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral Mass at
St Andrew the Apostle Church,
1250 Barrydowne Rd., Sudbury
Monday April 4th, 2022, at 10AM
No funeral visitation.
Interment in the Civic Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation or Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
