Clarence Goguen
1932-2022
Clarence Goguen, 90, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully
at the Stella Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Friday
September 2, 2022. He was married to the late Aurise Bastarache
(1991). Born in Saint-Paul, he was the son of the late Henry and the
late Jeanne (LeBlanc) Goguen.
He will be sadly missed by his six children; Ronald (Muriel) of
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Daniel and Donald of Gardner, MA,Juliette
Collette (Yvon) of Saint-Lazare, Bruce (Linda) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent
and Carolyn Goguen of Saint-Lazare, his thirteen grandchildren and
eight great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his long-time
companion; Justine Maillet, his three sisters; Eleonor Garripy,
Jeannette Davis and Catherine Poirier all of Florida, his two
brothers; Henry (Carol) and Lawrence of Florida as well as several
nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by four sisters; Dora, Lydia, Clara, Bertha as well
as four brothers; Edgar, Raymond, Ernest and Alfred.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel Roman
Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, on Thursday
September 8, 2022 from 2 to 3:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be
celebrated at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Church on Thursday September 8,
2022 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Clarence’s memory, donations may be made to the Stella Maris
de Kent Hospital Foundation.
