Clara’s Obituary
WAGNER, Clara Ann – 76, of Digby, formerly of Bridgewater passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, in Tideview Terrace, Digby. Born in Doucetteville, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Annie (Saulnier) Amero. Clara was a hard-working lady and raised four beautiful children which were her pride and joy. Clara worked for many years as a waitress, first at the Digby Pines Hotel, then at the Banff Spring Hotel, later at the Cornwallis Café and then for many years at the Fundy Restaurant. She later worked at Flowers by Gabrielle in Digby, where she could enjoy the luxury of walking to work (just down the stairs), while living “above the flower shop”. Lastly, she worked at the Upper Clements Theme Park. She enjoyed volunteering at The Daisy Thrift Shop in Bridgewater. Clara enjoyed dances at the Fish & Game, listening to Bluegrass music, and going to Bluegrass Festivals. She loved spending time at her cottage on Everett’s Lake, taking every moment possible to get her fishing line in the water, while getting a breath of fresh air from “white smokey sticks”. Her interests included shopping at Frenchy’s and Dollarama, Pepsi, scratch tickets, word finds, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She had a love for her pets (cats, Poot-Mow, Suzie, Vinny & Rosie and dogs, Wally & Dolly). Clara is survived by daughters, Laurie (Ronnie) Carter, Yarmouth; Cindy (Don) Dufour, Bowdoin, Maine; Karen (Harold) Prime, Coldbrook; son, Mark (Melissa Marshall), Centerville, Kings County; stepson, Fred Jr. (Chris Loblick) Lombard, Calmar, AB; six grandchildren, Kyle & Brandon Potter; Noah & Emily Prime; Sam Dufour & Tristan Wagner and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her common law husband of 26 years, Fred Lombard; brother Ralph Amero, and infant twin granddaughters Abbey & Hailey. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at Tideview Terrace for the loving care that Clara received. Also, thank you to Fundy Villa, Berwick, for your care during the time she was there. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 4-6 pm, Friday, October 21, 2022, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, Middleton. A graveside service will be held 11 am Saturday, October 22, 2022, in the Madonna Cemetery, Marshalltown, with Father Raymond Odumuko officiating.
