Obituary for
Claire Angers (Paquette)
It’s with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to Claire Angers. Claire was married to her beloved husband Rosaire Angers (predeceased) for 50 years. Daughter of Clairina (née Cazabon) and Victor Paquette. She was a loving mother to Thérèse Stankiewicz (Edmund) and Marc, and a cherished grandmother to Roxanne, Chantale, and Joel Stankiewicz. Dear sister of Yvonne Roussel (late George), Donat Paquette (Louise), Gaston Paquette (Anita) and Pierrette Duchesne (late Vianey). Predeceased by her siblings Jeanne Vaillancourt (late Fred), Gracia Dubé (late John), Grégoire Paquette (late Angéline) and Fernand Paquette (late Gisèle). An avid card player, she was almost impossible to beat at any game. Though competitive in games, she was good spirited and enthusiastically helped others to improve their own game. Her grandchildren remember her best for her ability to keep them entertained with games and their favorite snacks. Claire was well known for her skills in the kitchen; her homemade bread and tourtière were something to be rivaled. Strongly devoted to her Catholic faith, Claire never failed to acknowledge her outdoor statue of the Virgin Marie whenever she passed by it. She was social in nature, enjoying the company of family and friends. Most who knew her, knew how much she enjoyed spending time on the phone and enjoyed admiring her flowers. Claire’s glowing smile and enthusiastic demeanor will be forever cherished by all who love her. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd.,on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’ Youville Church, Val Caron. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the charity of choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
