The death of Cindy Lee Lyons, of Millbank (Miramichi), NB, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Thursday, Oct 13, 2022, at the age of 66.
Born in Chatham (Miramichi), NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Marion (MacKnight) MacDonald.
Cindy was briefly in the administration field before starting her family and dedicating all of her time and heart, to her children, husband and animals.
She was a doting mother of four, that ran a loving household which was always open to offer a meal, bed, or drive to town, or any sort of guardianship to anyone who may have needed it.
She managed more than just children and schedules – transporting half a team daily for any one of them. As well as making sure to attend practically every game or event, for every sport or activity, for each of them.
Cindy always ensured there was an amazingly delicious and healthy meal served every evening; Not to mention – she was known for being the best, on demand, short order cook, who kept the most accommodating hours.
She always welcomed a full house and enjoyed having her kids, and all their friends, regularly coming and going – well into adulthood.
Cindy’s love extended even further, specifically to her dogs and horses, as she raised and adored several throughout her adult life.
The little spare time Cindy was able to find, was spent attending or hosting extended family dinners, taking a country drive with the family, or being sidekick to any one of her amazing girlfriends, that kept her from ever longing for a sister.
Without fail, Cindy was always the one to come to the rescue, make the trip, have your back… and she’d never leave anyone to have to face any challenge on their own.
Cindy is survived by her four children; Vicki, Becky (Isaac Standring), Christy & John (Christine O’Reilly), nine grandchildren; Ava, Dylan, Quinn, Jacob, Patrick, Nora, Ruby, Skylar & Pierce, sister-in-law, Kim MacDonald (Ricky), and brother & sister in-laws; Gerald & Shirley Lyons, and Junior & Irene Blakely.
She will also be dearly missed by nine nieces, two nephews, and twenty-two grand nieces and nephews; as well as the many she was a mother figure to, and continued to embrace along the way.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was predeceased by her husband, Pat Lyons, two brothers, Walter & Ricky MacDonald, sister-in-law, Rhonda (MacDonald) Coughlan, mother & father-in-law, Dan & Eileen Lyons, and nephew, Daniel Blakely.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. A private family celebration of life will be held on Wednesday at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery.
