It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Whalen, age 34, on April 23, 2022 in Halifax. Predeceased by grandparents William and Eleanor Manning, Joseph and Maisie Whalen. Also predeceased by aunts Alice Whalen, Doreen and Susie LeGrow, Sadie Manning and Uncles Clyde Little, Max Vere-Holloway, Peter and Selwyn Manning, and George LeGrow.
Leaving behind his parents Bruce and Glendine, loving sister Julie (Jamie Lewis), with nephews James and Cole Lewis, sisters Tara and Tracy, and niece Kathleen. Aunt Loretta Vere-Holloway, cousins Terry and Todd Vere-Holloway. Also aunts Beverly (Murray) Hatt, and Sharon Whalen and uncles Norman (Linda) Whalen, Marven (Pearl) Whalen, Nelson LeGrow and Joseph LeGrow. Christopher also leaves a circle of other cousins, relatives, colleagues and friends.
Christopher’s passion was in computers and music, freely sharing his talents with those around him. After moving to Halifax, he worked in Computer Programming, his latest position working with REDspace, a professional software development company.
Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, on Lemarchant Road, on Wednesday, May 4th from 7 – 9 p.m. and Thursday May 5th, 2 – 4 p.m. & 7 – 9 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 6th, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church.
A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
