Christine Helen Matchett Whitney 2022

It is with Heavy Hearts that we announce that Christine Helen (Matchett) Whitney passed away peacefully on April 9, 2022 at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 88. Christine was the daughter if the late Earl and Marjorie (Matthews) Matchett.
Christine was predeceased by her 1st husband, Lindsay White and her 2nd husband, Tim Whitney, sons, Joey and Gordie, daughter, Elsie Grace and granddaughter, Little Lyndsay.
Christine will be sadly missed by her children, Donna (Tom), Darlene, Mina (Bobby), Doug (Lisa), Alison and Valerie (Wade) all of Miramichi, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and also 3 sisters, Roma, Eva and Rhoda.
Christine was a lady who loved to bake. Fruitcakes and bread was her specialty. She loved company. She loved people. When you visit her, plan to stay, she would always say there’s no hurry. Sit down; Stay awhile and you have to eat while there and for sure you would have to take something home with you. She would give you everything she had even her last stick of gum. She loved to play cards and listen to music, she loved to give and she loved her Family more than Life. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held at The Meadows Funeral Home, 150 Northwest Road, Sunny Corner, NB on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4 PM to 9 PM. Funeral service will held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1 PM from The Meadows Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date.
