Christine Hadikin 2022

October 11, 1947 – March 23, 2022
On March 23, 2022, Christine Hadikin got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 73 years old.
Christine was born October 11, 1947 in Trail B.C. to Alec and Polly Poznecov. She was the youngest of three siblings. Kathy Soloveoff (sister), Cecil Poznecov (brother).
On December 2, 1967, Christine married her best friend, Paul Hadikin who preceded her in 2019.
Christine, Paul and their two children, Leanne and Lorne moved to Nanaimo where she lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker and as a Library Technician for School District #68. Christine and Paul’s greatest passion was buying, renovating and building homes.
Eventually the serenity of the Kootenays called them back and they retired in Castlegar to continue with their love of fishing and gardening. While Christine remained active in her retirement, the loss of her husband Paul was a blow. Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that Paul and Christine are together again.
Christine is survived by her daughter Leanne Bontrup, her son Lorne Hadikin, her four grandchildren Robert, Camille, Alicia and Andrew and her sister Kathy Soloveoff.
They will share plans for a Celebration of Life Ceremony at a future date.
