Obituary
We are sorry to tell you that our daughter, Christine, suddenly passed away on July 17th. From the time she could walk and talk, she was helping take care of others; anyone in need had a friend in Christine. While growing up in Dawson Creek, she excelled in music, arts, public speaking, competitive swimming, and helping take care of her sister and family. She even managed to surprise us with a surprise party for our 25th Anniversary! In maturity, she offered her talents to those challenged with homelessness and injustice, first in Victoria and later in Vancouver. She was relentless, and every success spurred her on to deal with further urgencies. Her skill and energy will be missed.
Christine was predeceased by her sister Lorelle; she is survived by her four children: Rico Brett, Lori Snow, Jackob Underwood, and David Underwood. She also leaves behind: brothers Jason (Cynthia) Brett and Kenny (Margaret) Brett & family; grandchildren Dakota and Karmen; her parents Al & Barb Brett; her niece Andrea Maresca-Joseph & family; her Bella Coola family, Adrienne Hans (John), and brother Ashley and family; many cousins, uncles, aunties, colleagues, and countless friends.
Cremation will be followed by later Memorials, both in Qualicum Beach and the Nuxalk Nation of Bella Coola. In Christine’s memory, please do what you can to help the homeless.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Christine Chrissy Margery Brett March 9 1975 July 17 2022 (age 47)..
