Christina Marjorie “Kip” (Rhynold)
Palmer – 86, of Canning, Kings County, passed away on
Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Born in Canning, she was the daughter of the late Lawson and Ruth
(Kane) Rhynold, Canning.
Kip lived a long and healthy life, only to fall
ill in her last few years. She had a very positive outlook on life and
was full of wisdom, always giving her children and grandchildren good
sound advice and guidance. Her strengths and beliefs were based on her
strong Christian faith. She will sadly be missed by her family and
friends.
Kip was predeceased by her husband, Avard Miles
Palmer. She is survived by five children, Deborah (Gary) Molloy, Nancy
(John) Milsom, Lynda (John) Eddy, Donna Benjamin and Michael Palmer;
and by four siblings, Joan (Bill) Fraser, Kenny (Charlotte) Rhynold,
Mona (Gerald) Dalton and Allen (Pat) Rhynold; 15 grandchildren; 26
great-grandchildren; and special companion, Lawrence MacKinley, New
Minas.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was
predeceased by a son, Gary Palmer and a daughter, Jennifer Palmer;
son-in-law, Bruce Keddy; grandsons, Christopher and Cory Palmer;
brothers, Paul and Douglas Rhynold; and a sister Helen
Lutz.
There will be no visitation.
A private family committal service will
be held by Pastor Terry Penney at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11,
2022 in Hillaton Cemetery, Hillaton, Kings County. A reception will
follow for family and friends at 3:00 p.m. in Miner’s
Landing, Building #24 Common Room, Kentville. Donations in memory may
be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
