Lane Christa Juliane (Ziegler) – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christa Juliane Lane, peacefully at her home, as she wished, surrounded by her family, on February 1st in her 72nd year. Christa was born in Rekendorff, Germany, to parents Anton and Paula Zeigler. Christa later moved with her family to St. Catherine’s, Ontario, where she met the love of her life, Anthony Lane. Tony and Christa married in Barrie in 1969 and together they had two children, Paul and Alexandra (Jason) who, although devastated by this loss, have wonderful memories that they will cherish forever. She was a loving grandmother of Shayla (Ryan), Tyler, Ashley, Madeline and Leighton. As well as a great grandmother to Colton and Camden. She will be deeply missed by her sister Antonie (late Fred), brother in-law Gary, her dear cousins in Germany, her cherished nieces Christine and Lisa (Ray), and her nephew, Brandon (Marin), her extended family, friends, and the students she had the pleasure of teaching over her 35+ year career . You had such a profound impact on all of our lives and shaped us into the people we are today, rest easy Mom, we love you and will miss you every day.
