Ch’naut Mia Gray 1941 2022

It is with sadness we announce the passing of
Ch’naut Mia Gray, age 80, of Oxford, NS.
Ch’naut passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the All Saints
Hospital, Springhill.
Born in Malagash, NS, she was raised by Thelma Hatt in
Oxford, NS.
Ch’naut worked with Thelma over the years, helping with her
motel, and after studying cooking, she operated a pizza outlet/video
store in the motel. She enjoyed her time there very much over the
years and was very appreciative of Thelma’s care. She loved Bingo and
used to go 6 nights a week with her close friend
Shirley.
Ch’naut is survived by her brothers Rodney and Hugh
McEachern; a very special niece Lori Bezanson; as well as several
nieces and nephews. She is fondly remembered by her close friend
Rachelle Chiasson, and Jasmine, who was like a granddaughter to
Ch’naut.
She was predeceased by her biological parents and four
brothers and sisters.
Arrangements are under the care and supervision of
W Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St.,
Oxford, NS (902-447-2167). Cremation has taken place and a private
graveside service will be held in the Pine Grove Cemetery at a later
date.
Many thanks to the VON who were very dedicated in caring for
Ch’naut over the years.
