1951-2022
The death of Cheryl Anne DeMerchant of Beechwood occurred on Sunday,
June 19, 2022 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born
January 22, 1951 she was the daughter of the late Alexander
“Sandy” and Edith (Waugh) Giggie. She was also predeceased
by her husband, Milledge; granddaughter, Sarah Hutchison; 5 siblings,
Harold, Mary, Malcolm ‘”Mac”, Hazen and Phyllis.
Cheryl is survived by her 4 children, Tammy DeMerchant (Dean Brown),
Shelley (Troy) McCullough, Cindy DeMerchant and Glen DeMerchant; 9
grandchildren, Clay Hargrove, Craig Hargrove (Emma), Skylar Hutchison
(Ashley), Chelsi Brown (Dustin), Shelby DeMerchant (Brandon), Tara
Brown, Scott Hutchison, Jacob McCullough and Seth Hutchison; 7 great
grandchildren, Isabelle, Chloe, Peyton, Kassidy, Lincoln, Liam and
Kaydence; 4 siblings, Marilyn O’Donnell, Leighton Giggie and Edna
Barkley, Inez Perry as well as several nieces, nephews and extended
family.
A private family graveside service will be held in the Pine Tree
Cemetery. For those who wish donations made to the New Brunswick
Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated. L.R. Giberson Funeral
Directors are entrusted with the arrangements.
