Charlotte Marie Lise Gagné (Nee: Nadeau), age 75, passed away on August 2, 2022, to join her loving husband, Gilles Gagné, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Charlotte was born in Chicoutimi, QC on October 15, 1946. Her father, Charles (dec.), and mother, Rose (dec.), raised her as the second child and eldest daughter, along with her four siblings, Richard (dec.), Christine (dec.), Celine, and Remi.
In 1963, she met and fell in love with Gilles Gagne (dec.). As their love progressed, they left Quebec in 1970 for new adventures and moved to Vancouver Island. There they had two children, Marc and Diane. They later lived in Squamish BC and finally called Whitehorse home in 2000, where their children were established. Charlotte and Gilles shared 40 beautiful years together before his passing in 2004.
Charlotte always had a genuine interest in the people she met. She approached every day in a positive and kind manner, no matter how difficult things were. Her steadfast sense of direction, her love and commitment to family and friends, were her biggest drive in life. She set about her workday with many of the same qualities; with a spring in her step and a sense of purpose. Charlotte will always be remembered for her warm hugs, loving smile, and infectious laugh.
She leaves to us her strength and commitment to family, her humble wisdom of life around her, and her joy and love of everything and everyone, which she held so dear to her heart.
Charlotte was truly loved and will be missed by her family. She is survived by her son Marc (Shawne) – Charles and Molly, daughter Diane (Dave) – Selena and Felicia, her sister Céline and her brother Remi (Carmèn), as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.
