Charlie Littlewood 2022

Obituary for
Charlie Littlewood
August 20, 1921 – June 17, 2022
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Charlie Albany Littlewood on Friday, June 17, 2022. He was born on August 20, 1921, in New Westminster, BC and lived to be almost 101 years.
Charlie was predeceased by his wife, Gwendolyn Brearley (August 18, 2021). He married Gwennie, the love of his life, on December 6, 1952. He is survived by his three children, Susan, Jeffrey and Kurt;
five beloved grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Charlie started his career in radio and geometric research, later continuing as an engineer at AGT and then as a telecommunications instructor at NAIT. He obtained his engineering degree while the children were still babies.
Charlie had many talents and interests: he was an opera singer, violinist, guitarist and played the piano and keyboard. He was also interested in hiking, hot-air ballooning, travelling, and enjoyed the mountains.
During his time at MacTaggart, his companions would hum a few bars and he would play the song by heart. Charles was always in good spirits and when asked, would say he’s number one. We will always miss him and Gwennie.
The family is having a Celebration of Life Sunday, July 10, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park, 13221 Buena Vista Road, Edmonton. The picnic spot will be marked by balloons.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Charlie
