Charles Ryland
March 25, 1938 – December 8, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles Ryland announce his passing on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Charles S. Curtis Memorial Hospital in St. Anthony at the age 84 years.
Leaving behind with fond and loving memories his wife Rita of 58 years; children: Elaine (Everett), Rhoda (Gerry), Bonney, Merina (Roger), Sherry (Truman), Charles Jr. (Samantha); grandchildren: Damien, Shane, Nathan, Deanna, Roger Jr. (RJ), Colton, Anna and Naomi; great-grandchildren: Harper and Elliott; sisters and brother: Julie (Gorden), Selina (Pleman), Blanche (Edward) and Amos (Margaret); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father William, mother Verbena, sisters Annie, Melsie and Phyllis, brother Victor, son-in-law Roger Norman.
The Ryland family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Kamra and the staff at the St. Anthony Curtis Memorial Hospital for the understanding and care given to our dad and his family during his short stay. Also to all the people who phoned, sent messages, brought food and dropped by, we very much appreciated each and every gesture. Your kindness touched mom and our family deeply.
A family service will be held on Sunday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. from the Gospel Hall in L’Anse au Loup, all are welcome. The funeral service will he held on Monday, December 12 at 2:00 p.m. from the Gospel Hall, L’Anse au Loup. Interment to follow at the Gospel Hall Cemetery.
