He was also predeceased by his first wife Lucille Sansregret. Charlie was blessed to have 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than seeing them.
Born May 9, 1943, Charlie spent his life in Richer, MB. He was a logger for his entire career and loved to teach his kids and so many others his trade. In his spare time, he loved watching tv while holding hands with his love, to sit and brush his granddaughter’s hair, or call his kids to say hi. Dad could never sit still for long so he would cut grass for the local hall, his yard and the restaurant his daughter and her husband owned. He could be found at the local bingo hall with is daughter on a Monday night and loved to catch up with his family and friends in the community over coffee at Timberline. Charlie’s true love was his family. He loved his “deck visits” where he could watch all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play, laugh, and share stories.
A celebration of life will take place in the Spring and further information will be shared once the details are arranged.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Diabetes Canada Manitoba in Charlie’s honour.
No more pain, no more worry, rest easy boyfriend, dad, pepere, brother, friend – we love you
We offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Charles
