McKernan, Charles William Richard –
Of Nottawa, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in his 39th year. Loving son of the late Elizabeth (nee Criddle) and the late William McKernan. He will be forever cherished by his spouse, Kerry Varley. He was the proud and devoted father of Sarah McKernan and Sofia McKernan. Charles was the loving brother of Mary-Ann (Tom Sammons), Christine McMaster, Karen McMaster, April Girard, Darlene McGarry (David) and Herbert McMaster. He will also be remembered by his parents in-law Brian and Terri Varley and sisters -in law Dana (Bert) and Maryellen (Danny). Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Charles loved to tinker and fix little jobs around the house. He enjoyed designing and building projects with lego. His family will receive friends on Wednesday May 11, 2022 from 12:30p.m. until 1:45p.m. at Chatterson Funeral Home, 404 Hurontario Street, Collingwood. A Funeral Service will follow at 2p.m. Interment at Westmount Baptist Cemetery. Remembrances of Charles may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in his memory.
