Charles Howard Madden

Charles Howard Madden September 25 1930 – April 1 2022

Passed away peacefully at Bayfield Manor in his 91st year, with his indomitable spirit intact, on April 1st, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Durant). Loving father to Brian (Margaret) Madden and proud and cherished Grandpa to Grace Madden. Brother to Muriel (Preston) Gilmer and the late Lloyd (Valerie) Madden. Brother-in-law to Ronald (Erva) Durant and the late Richard Durant. Uncle and great Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Special thank you to, Perry Gilmer for assisting Dad with various missions over the last years, and to Dr Leonard and the staff of the Bayfield Manor for their care and dedication. A Master Carpenter and original recycler, Dad repurposed everything and made it useful again. A resident of Mountain, Ontario, Dad enjoyed music, camping, fishing, and keeping busy on the farm. He was also a proud card-carrying member of The Carpenters Union. They just don`t make them like that anymore. Graveside Service will be held May 14th at 11a.m. at South Gower Cemetery 501 South Gower Drive, Kemptville. Donations in Memory of Howard may be made to the Charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Byers Funeral Home, South Mountain (613-989-3836) online condolences may be made www.byersfuneralhomeinc.com
