May 19, 1938 ~ April 15, 2020
Of Marmora, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2020 at the age of 81, with his beloved wife Monica and son Terry by his side.
Charles was predeceased by his mother, Minnie (Corkum) Marshall, Pictou, Nova Scotia, his infant daughter Linda, twin brother Edward, sisters Lilla and Donna, sisters-in-law Carol and Loreen and daughter-in-law Lori Cross.
Survived by children Vern (Gayle) Corkum, Len (Kellie) Corkum, Sandra (Bill) Burns, Larry Corkum, Lori Moyano, Bill Cross (Ann Scholten), Rick (Tammy) Cross and Terry Cross, 23 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Left to mourn are Safford & Sheila Turcotte, Ray & Karen Turcotte, Jim & Cathy Smith, Carol Ann Drury, Sharon Moffatt, Ian Campbell (NS), Pam Cross, Cecile Corkum (NS), Lawrence & Margie LeBlanc and John & Barb Wright (NS). Charles will be sadly missed by many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Alberta and Ontario.
Papa Charlie is fondly remembered and missed by Mike, Robben, Matthew, Aaron & Alex, Kylie & Jessica, Tanya & Melissa, Taylor & Phillip. Time spent together fishing, water skiing, camping and swimming and all of their firsts won’t be forgotten. Our love to Papa Charlie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 1 to 4 pm at The Marmora Legion, Br. 237, 6 N Hastings Ave, Marmora. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Heart of Hastings Hospice House, Madoc or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
