Charles Bud Mee June 28 1946 January 1 2022

Charles Edward “Bud” Mee passed away on January 1, 2022 at the age of 75. He was a member of Mt Harmony Baptist Church and retired from the Knoxville News Sentinel after 43 years. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era. Bud enjoyed woodworking, singing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren, Katie and Logan, who were his pride and joy.
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Mee.
Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Phyllis Mee; children, Stephen Mee, Michael (Brandi) Mee; grandchildren, Katie and Logan; brother, Bob (Judy) Mee; and sister, Peggy Eddings.
Family and friends will meet at Bridges Funeral Home 10:00am Thursday, January 6, and travel in procession to Asbury Cemetery graveside services with full military honors, officiated by Rev. Bruce Martin.
Pallbearers will be Robert Breeden, Cody Norton, Curtis Wilson, Steve Swann, Jimmy Cowden, and Jason Huffaker.
A special thanks to Smokey Mountain Hospice for their kindness and caring for Bud through his last days.
