MARSHALL, Charles Arthur – âgé de 87 ans, résident du foyer The Meadows à Yarmouth, autrefois de Pembroke, comté de Yarmouth, est décédé le 19 mars, 2022 au foyer. Né le 9 septembre, 1934 à Westmount, Québec, il était le fils de feu Charles Édouard Marshall et Madeleine (Papy) Marshall. Charles était vétéran de la guerre de Corée, ayant servi avec la Marine marchande, après lequel il à travailler avec les compagnie de communication Nortel, de lequel il s’est retiré après avoir travaillé environ 30 ans. Il était aussi membre de la Légion royale canadienne, filiale no. 61, Yarmouth, avec lequel il était un grand travaillant, particulièrement avec la campagne de coquelicots. Il était aussi l’ancien président du parti Liberal pour la région de Yarmouth. Il laisse dans le deuil deux enfants : un fils, Mario Marshall, St-Bruno-de-Montarville, QC et une fille, Chantale Marshall, Lévis, QC, ainsi qu’un petit fils, Christopher et une « petite fille » Bianca. Outre ses parents, il fut précédé à la tombe par son ex-épouse, Monique (Berthiaume). La famille désire remercier Roland Levesque, un grand ami et collègue de Charlie pour son dévouement auprès de lui, ainsi que les Drs. Muise et Horton et tout lke personel du foyer The Meadows. MARSHALL, Charles Arthur – age 87, The Meadows Home for Special Care in Yarmouth, formerly of Pembroke, Yarmouth Co., passed away on March 19, 2022 in the home. Born September 9, 1934 in Westmount, Quebec, he was the son of the late Charles Édouard Marshall and Madeleine (Papy) Marshall. Charles was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the Merchant Marines. He then went on to work with communication company Nortel, from which he retired after 30 years. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch. No. 61, Yarmouth with whom he was a strong worker with the Poppy campaign. He was also the former chairman of the Liberal Party for the Yarmouth area. He is survived by two children: a son, Mario Marshall, St-Bruno-de-Montarville, QC and a daughter, Chantale Marshall, Lévis, QC, as well as a grandson, Christopher and a “granddaughter” Bianca. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his former wife, Monique (Berthiaume). The family would like to extend a special thanks to Charlie’s friend and colleague, Roland Levesque, as well as to Drs. Muise and Horton and all the staff at The Meadows.
