“Chailo” Alexs Andrea Jadis
2007-2022
It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden and tragic
passing of Chailo Alexs Andrea Jadis, on October 2, 2022, in
Alexandra, PEI. Chailo was born June 15, 2007 in Charlottetown and is
the daughter of Jonathan and Valerie (Sark) Jadis and the little
sister of Joey Jadis.
Chailo leaves behind many who love and miss her including her
grandparents, Francis and Georgina (Francis) Jadis, Howard and Joyce
(LaBobe) Sark; her aunts and uncles, Kelly Sark and Richard
Pellissier-Lush, Jessica Sark, Duna Sark, Elizabeth and Nick Lord,
Sherry (Jadis) and Wilfred Augustine, Jacob and Amber (Clark) Jadis;
and her godparents Adam and Mimi Jadis, Tania Knockwood, Jeremiah
Francis and Amber Jadis. Chailo is predeceased by her Uncle Jamie
Sark.
Chailo was loved so much by her many great aunts and great
uncles including Thirly, Judy, Joanne, Christine, Joyce, and
her cousins, including first cousins Payton, Maria, Fayth, Ellen,
Clark, Jakoby and Shanaya, and her beloved dogs Sarge and
Copper.
Forever 15. Chailo made friends everywhere she went with her
big beautiful smile and adventurous personality. She was a Grade 10
student at Morell Regional High School and previously attended Mount
Stewart Consolidated, spent one year at The Montessori School of
Charlottetown, and her pre-school years at Abegweit Early Childhood
Centre. Chailo will be greatly missed by her many friends at Morell
High School, Mt. Stewart Elementary, Elsipogtog First Nation and
beyond, especially Noah, Brandon, and Charlie.
Chailo’s Mi’kmaq spiritual name was Young Sea Turtle. Whether
she was dancing at Mawio’mis, beading with her Mom, or doing quillwork
with Melissa, she loved learning about and practicing her culture.
Chailo also loved animals, loved to dance and sing on TikTok and has
always enjoyed shopping.
Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may
looking back in memory help to comfort you tomorrow.
Visitation will be at Chailo’s home at 14 Pkwimam Road in
Scotchfort from 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 6th until the funeral
on Saturday morning. All are welcome to stop in. The Funeral Mass will
be held at St. Bonaventure Church in Tracadie at 10:30 am on Saturday,
October 8th with a burial to follow at St. Bonaventure Church
Cemetery.
Chailo had great empathy for family and friends in the
community dealing with cancer and she loved animals; therefore in lieu
of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the PEI Humane
Society would be appreciated.
