Cecelia Glenen 19372022

Cecelia Glenen
1937-2022
Cecelia Glenen of Grass Home, Riverview, passed away
peacefully on Monday, November 14th, with her family by her
side.
Cecelia was born in Montreal in 1937, the daughter of the
late Felix and Margaret (McCrossan) Quinlan. She grew up in St.
Andrew’s, Ontario, before she returned to Montreal to work,
marry, and raise her children. In 1977 she and her husband, Ray,
brought their family to the Moncton area. Eventually she
returned to school to become a Human Services Counselor. For
many years she worked with a vulnerable population where she always
hoped that she made a difference.
She was a lover of birds, specifically chickadees, enjoyed a
good game of scrabble, reading, and quality conversation.
Cecelia attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Church until her
health made it difficult. Since then she enjoyed daily mass on her
ipad that kept her connected to her faith and
community.
Cecelia was predeceased by her husband Ray in 2016 after 58
years of marriage. She will be missed by her special sister Monica and
sister-in-law Faye. She will also be dearly missed by her daughters
Donna Cruickshank, Mary Glenen-Calder (Mike), and Karin
Glenen-Gosselin and sons Ray (Jill), Mark (Patricia), Rob (Laura), and
John as well as those who called her Grammy, Tyler (Lauren), Heather
(Derrick), Katlin, Laura (Jaydon), Cory (Tessa), Marisa (Ben), Haley,
Casey, Zach, Sam, Adam, Faith, Amy, Colleen, and Quinlan and by her
great-grandson Beckett.
Cecelia’s family would like to thank the Grass Home
for their love and care of Mom. She enjoyed several months getting to
know the residents and staff and feeling a sense of belonging after
the years of covid and the loss of Dad.
A celebration of her life will take place at Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview
(869-2007) on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 am with Father Phil
Mulligan presiding. Donations made to St. Vincent de Paul
Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by her
family.
