Obituary of Cavell Fanny Mercer
It is with great sadness that fhe family of the late Fanny Cavell Mercer (nee Hunter) announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre on December 21, 2022. She was 88 years of age. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland, her parents Marshall and Adeline Hunter, and brother Jim Hunter. She leaves to mourn her sons, Douglas (Jean), and Dale (Joan), daughters Beverley (Bram) Perry, and Brenda (Terry) Cluney, brothers Tom (Margaret), Chesley (Mabel) and Daniel, sisters-in-law, Judy, Joan, Emma and Florence, brother-in-law Jim. ALso left to mourn 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.
Cavell started in teh workforce at age 17 working as a teacher, then at Motor Vehicle Registration and finally, Newfoundland Power until retiring in 1993. She was an active memeber of Windsor Pentecostal Church and down through the years participated in many ministries of the church, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
