Born on June 17, 1953. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on February 8, 2022.
She leaves behind her loving husband Gary of 28 years. A devoted mother to her sons Steve, Sheldon and step-son Doug. Wonderful grandmother to Ryan, Steve and Owen. Daughter of Hector and the late Rose Lucier and step-mothers Dolores Lucier and the late Jeannette Lucier. Cathy was more than a sister, more like a mother to John Lucier (Laura), Rose May Medler (late Jack), Laura Oxford (late Larry), Jim Lucier (Brenda), Geraldine McCauley (late Gordon), Antoinette Simone (Bill), Annette Lucier, Anita Laframboise (Les), as well as many step-sisters and step-brothers. Cathy was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews and will be missed greatly.
Cathy worked for Walmart in the fabric department and on midnights with her best friend Marie for many years before her retirement. She was the crazy glue that held all of us together and always looked out for the underdog. She touched the lives of so many people and believed that her purpose in life was to help others. She always had time to talk and listen, even when she was going 90 miles an hour in the wrong direction down a one-way street. She enjoyed baking, hosting family get-togethers, quilting, beading crafts and helping her sisters take their parents to church and to play cards on Sundays. Cathy had an easy laugh and was a great sport when anyone teased her, but wouldn’t hesitate to tell you, “suck eggs!” Cathy always thought of her family as her “true north”.
