Obituary of Catherine Elizabeth Huskins

The passing of Catherine Elizabeth Huskins of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Eldridge Richard Huskins Sr, occurred on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Hospice House in Fredericton, NB. Born on April 6, 1943 in Lunenburg, NS, she was the daughter of the late Willoughby and Bertha (Grandy) Mills. Catherine was affiliated with Life Tabernacle Church, loved spending time with friends and family and enjoyed helping at York Care Centre over the years.
Catherine is survived by her children, Kelley Huskins (Vernon) of Lincoln, Rick Huskins Jr (Joan) of Fredericton, Cheryl Fraser (Mike) of Elk Grove; grandchildren, Aaron, Thomas, Daniel, Nicole, James, Kyle, Aaron; great-granddaughter, Amarah; sisters, Ruth Knowlton of Orlando, Alice Schwartz of Halifax; sister-in-law Joan Mills of Lunenburg; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her brother, Tom Mills; and grandson, Benjamin Collins.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 1-3 pm. A Funeral Service will follow directly in York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, at 3 pm with Rev. Duane Collicott officiating. The public may choose to view the service live through the funeral home website. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Fredericton Hospice or Diabetes Association. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
