Charlie was born October 3, 1936, to Frederick and Mary Carter, in Great Brehat. He passed away November 12, 2022 at the age of 86. He married Minnie Cassell of Roddickton in 1986. She passed away. He then married Minnie Peyton in November 2006. She passed away December 27, 2011. Since February 2015, Rowena Dredge from Black Duke Cove has been his partner.
Charlie was a fisherman for many years. He also worked with the Grenfell Mission and at the Viking Mall as Caretaker/Maintenance. He could build a boat, house or garbage box, all you had to do was ask. He loved to be busy and kept busy, up to the week of his passing. Charlie was super helpful to family, friends and community members. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is predeceased by parents, Frederick and Mary Carter, Wives, Minnie Cassell- Carter and Minnie Peyton-Carter; Brothers, John , Samuel and George; Sisters, Mary, Jane, Caroline, Rosana, Elsie, Annie, Olive, and brother in law, Bruce.

Plus many more Step Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation is being held at the funeral home in St. Anthony from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm on Monday November 14th 2022, with the funeral service being held on Tuesday November 15th from the Salvation Army Church in St. Anthony. burial will follow the service at the St. Lunaire-Griquet Salvation Army Cemetery. Majors Beverly and Anthony Stokes are officiating, funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatres Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard Funeral Director.
