1957 –2022
Following a courageous struggle, Carrie Anne Ronald found her rest on Monday, October 17, 2022. Beloved mother of Amie Ronald-Morgan (Chris Morgan), Shannon McGill (Aaron McGill), Lindsay Ronald (Marc Riopelle), and Allie Purcell (Lawrence Carney). Proud Nana to Donovan, Imogen, Alaya, Sonja, Leah, Ethan M., Ethan C., Jamison and Adelaide. Longtime partner of the late Dennis Ronald. Favourite big sister to Sue Davey (Ron), John ‘Mc’ McNeil (Roslin), Scott McNeil (Christina), and Carolyn Gloude. Eldest child of the late Ruth Clark and John McNeil. Recently predeceased by her loyal companion Bobby the Beagle.
Carrie was born on March 31, 1957 in Grimsby and moved to Brantford as a child before relocating to London in 1987. She excelled at sports and was a star ballplayer and umpire before focusing on a career in home health care. To say that Carrie was passionate about the Toronto Blue Jays is an understatement. Carrie loved hard and played harder. Her good will was a force to be reckoned with, and her many friends and acquaintances attest to the emotional support she provided. In her later years, she enjoyed nothing more than a glass of wine around the backyard fire pit with her kids and dog, and listening to the ballgame.
Carrie will be dearly missed by many friends, particularly her Lady Jays fan club and Wednesday night Survivor group. Carrie’s family extends sincere gratitude to Dr. Kirk Hamilton, Elsa Varghese RN, Dr. Richard Malthaner, Dr. Charlie Chu, Jennifer Bourque, Larissa de Bekker, caregivers Sharolyn, Vencotte, Jodie, and the staff at LRCP.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in Carrie’s memory are asked to consider Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carrie Anne Ronald October 17 2022..
