The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of
Community Hospital, O’Leary on Wednesday, February 16, 2022
of Carrie Alice Silliker of O’Leary aged 86.
Carrie was born in West Cape on April 28, 1935, daughter of the
late Truman and Edna (Inglis) Brooks.
Carrie was a longtime volunteer with Red Cross and received a
25 year award for her service.
Cherished mom to Truman (Debbie) Delaney, Hamilton, ON;
Marlene Delaney, Summerside; Beverley (Kim) Boulter, Glenwood; Faye
(Garth) MacWilliams, West Cape; Judy (Allan) Gorrill,
O’Leary; Sally Harris, O’Leary and Ronnie Silliker
(Pauline Harris), Unionvale.
Proud Grammy of 22 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Dear sister to Daisy Waite, sister in law to Clair Silliker, Arthur
Hudson, Eileen Doyle and Helen Delaney.
Carrie was predeceased by her parents, first husband Richard
Delaney (1965), second husband Allison Silliker (2007), son Kenneth
Delaney (1975), great grandchildren Nathan and Dawson Boulter, sister
Ruby Bulger and brother Earle Brooks.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary. Do to current restrictions a private funeral
service will be held on Saturday for invited guests. Interment will be
in the Knutsford Cemetery in the spring.
