Carolyn Sue Smith Bridges – age 74 of Knoxville passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022. She was retired from the Knox County Sheriff Department.
Preceded in death by husband, Leon Bridges; son, Christopher Bridges; parents, Tom and Retha Smith; brother, Tommy Smith; sister, Ann Brown; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Iva Bridges.
Survived by son, Mike (Kathy) Hillard; grandchildren, Andrew (Miranda) Hillard, Garrett (Patricia) Hillard; Sarah Hillard (Baily) Cardwell, and Alexis Bridges; great grandchildren, Ava, Jackson, and Sawyer Hillard; sisters, Betty Fawver, Shirley (James) Brown, Patsy (Danny) Sitton; brother, Todd (Michelle) Smith; sister-in-law, Sue Smith; many special friends; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 2:00-3:30 PM on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 3:30 PM with Rev. Floyd Lambert and Rev. Randy Troutman officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 AM on Monday and go in a procession to Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment. Pallbearers: Andrew Hillard, Garrett Hillard, Baily Cardwell, Thomas Cook, Kevin Cook, and Skip Smith.
