Caroline Alfreda “Carrie” Crewe
A Life Well Lived
On September 18th, 2022, Carrie Alfreda Crewe (nee Anderson), wife, mother and sister, passed peacefully away in the Town of Harbour Breton, NL. at the age of 91 years.
Leaving to mourn her loving family: children, Melvin (Evelyn) at Gander, Jean (daughter in law) at Hermitage, Donna (Ron Rose) at Oromocto, NB, Brenda (Randy Brown) at Sandyville, NL, Pamela (Greg Harris) at Milltown, NL and Jim (Mondola) at Sandyville, NL; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, Gordon William Crewe; son, Allan Monroe Crewe; parents, Winnifred (Wells) and Frederick Anderson; parents in law, Hannah MacDonald and James Crewe.
Visitation will be held at St. Saviour’s Haven at Hermitage on Monday, September 19, 2022 and Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on both days.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm from St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hermitage.
Carrie was a busy and energetic woman who loved her church, her family and friends. She was a devoted member of the Anglican Church Choir for 75 years in Hermitage, NL. A member of the ACW, LOBA, Lionness and Senior’s Club. She enjoyed playing Bingo and having a hand of cards with her friends. She loved dressing up and having a good time.
