Carole Rousseau 1953 2022

Carole Rousseau, 69, of Dieppe, passed away on Tuesday June
21, 2022 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born in Les Boules, QC, she
was the daughter of the late Gilberte Turcotte and Fernand
Rousseau.
Carole was an exceptional nurse at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
hospital for 26 years. She worked countless hours towards the creation
of the Palliative Care Unit at the hospital, attending many meetings
and trainings to make sure the staff was well prepared to take care of
the patients and their family. She then worked at the Public Health
Department until retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Gauvin; one son, Dany
(Ginette) of Dieppe; one step-son, Michel (Charline) of Dieppe; four
grandchildren: Isabelle, Sébastien, Erika and
Mylène; one sister, Doris Rousseau-Lévesque
(André) of Rimouski, QC; one brother, Rénald
(Fabien) of Mont-Joli, QC; a special niece, Catherine; her
son’s father, Alex of Moncton; as well as several aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards
the staff of Unit 3A at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for their
wonderful care provided to Carole.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Monday June 27 at 11 am.
Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm and Monday from 10
am until time of funeral. Face coverings are recommended. In memory of
Carole, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be
appreciated.
